Commended Students: Chesterton High School seniors Adam Potrzebowski (left) and Luke Morgan are among the nation's 34,000 students designated as commended students in the 2010 National Merit Scholarship Program. These students are being honored for their outstanding performance on the 2008 Preliminary SAT National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which was the route of entry to the Merit Program.

 

Two Chesterton High School seniors are among the nation's 34,000 students designated as commended students in the 2010 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Commended students are Luke Morgan and Adam Potrzebowski.

These students are being honored for their outstanding performance on the 2008 Preliminary SAT National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which was the route of entry to the Merit Program.

Morgan, son of Dean and Jodi Morgan of Chesterton, is active in speech and debate, cinema club, Japanese club, quiz bowl, academic superbowl, spellbowl and theatre and is a member of National Honor Society. He plans to study international relations/economics at University of Chicago.

Potrzebowski, son of Dane and Patricia Potrzebowski of Westville, is active in speech and debate, quiz bowl, academic superbowl, spell bowl, Japanese club and intramural basketball and is a member of National Honor Society. He plans to study engineering at Purdue University.
