The Speech and Debate Team invites family, friends, and community members to attend its annual Performance Night on Thursday, June 13, starting at 6:30 p.m. The performance will feature the twenty students in their individual events, attending this yearís NFL National Tournament in Birmingham, Alabama.

Performances will include a policy debate demonstration by Zach Bogich, Simon Andrews, Emily Percifield and Kaley Brown; a public forum debate with McKenzie Richardson, Hannah Vasquez, Jessica Ratel-Khan and Ronnie Kovach; and a Lincoln/Douglas case presented by Eric Dreischerf.

In addition, there will be two humorous interpretations by Jami Ritchea and Lauren Hogan, a dramatic performance by Kiera Quealy, a duo interpretation by Sharon Coleman and Kaylee Oates, and an original oratory by Jennifer Kattalia.

Finally, there will be two extemporaneous speeches - one on a domestic issue by Humaira Khan and another on an international issue by Spencer Gordon.

The Performance Night will be in the CHS auditorium, and while there is no admission, donations to help defray the cost of attending the national tournament would be greatly appreciated. Anyone unable to attend this event, but wishing to support the team, can send donations to CHS Speech and Debate at Chesterton High School.

The Speech and Debate Team would also like to thank those business and community members who have already generously agreed to sponsor students attending the national tournament.

Community support has always been a key to the teamís success, and it is greatly appreciated.
