Duneland Schools tell more coaching appointments for school year

In the approved personnel report from this Monday’s Duneland School report, school administrators announced a few additional coaching and aide appointments for the 2017-18 school year.

Chesterton High School coaches announced include Rob Kania and Kenny Floyd for JV Football, Will Butz for 9th Grade Football as an assistant coach, Mike Glusewski, Vern Van Nostran and Alex Boatright for Football as volunteer coaches, Adam Harmon as the Spring Football Camp coach, Brian Bolin and Scott Mundell for Wrestling as volunteer coaches.

Other coaches at CHS include Mickey Hanley for JV Cheerleading, Luke Starkey for Freshman Softball and Randy Johnson for Tennis as a volunteer assistant coach.

Also for CHS, Tammy Sufana will be the concessions manager, Justin Martinson will be the sponsor for German Club and Nicolette Basel-Johnson will be a utility aide.

At Chesterton Middle School, coaches will be Samantha Dehoyos for Cheerleading, Paul Smilgius for 8th Grade Boys Basketball, Kenny Floyd for 7th Grade Boys Basketball, Scott Chema for Boys Head Basketball as a B coach, Kaitlyn Waltz for 7th Grade Girls Track and Amy Taylor for 7th Grade Girls Basketball as a B coach.

More CMS coaches are Tiffany Hawkins for Girls Volleyball as a B coach, Sam Zucker for Boys Cross-Country as an assistant coach and Kaitlyn Deehr for Girls Cross Country as an assistant coach.

In aide positions, Tracey Fifer will be a Title 1 aide for Yost Elementary, Kathleen Geenen will be an instructional aide for Jackson Elementary and Amanda Meyer is a remediation aide for Liberty Elementary.

For Liberty Intermediate School, Juanita Craycraft and Beverly Rice will be recess/cafeteria aides. Dawn Fauser, Marianne Harrison, Lisa Vrahoretis and Lisa Vanderwoude will be instructional aides.

Rebecca Kopec will be a custodian for Duneland and Candy Tucker will be a bus driver.

Resignations in the latest personnel report include nurse Jennifer Dimitroff, Kaitlyn Deehr for 7th Grade track coach and B coach for 8th Grade Girls Volleyball and Basketball, CHS German Club sponsor Cary Knauff, High Ability aide Amy Ott-Lutterman, Bailly Elementary Instructional aide Amy Taylor, Westchester Intermediate Instructional aide Will Butz and CHS lunch aide Deborah Moneypenny.
