Two Chesterton High School newspaper journalists recently were honored at the Indiana University Media School's High School Journalism Institute.

Sandscript photography editor Brenna Farrell, a senior, attended the Photojournalism Workshop and received a perfect evaluation, the Top Gun-Best Photo Essay Award, and the $100 Randy Siddons Photo Award, which includes a book on photojournalism to be presented to the CHS Media Center in her name.

Sandscript editor-in-chief Jennie Moran, also a senior, attended the Leadership Academy and received a perfect evaluation and a $500 scholarship from The Media School.

Later this month, Farrell will begin her third year on the Sandscript staff, while Moran will start her fourth.

CHS English/journalism teacher John Hayduk is the newspaper advisor.
