An outstanding group of candidates have been chosen as the 2012 CHS Prom
royalty contestants. Three seniors were nominated for king and queen and
three juniors for prince and princess.
The three students nominated for queen are Jordan Brown, Sunny Lee and
Summer Stockwell; and for princess are Marissa Kroeger, Alyssa Randazzo and
Bryana VanNostran.
Brown is the daughter of Paul and Michele Brown of Chesterton. She is active
as a dancer at Eclipse Performing Arts.
Lee, daughter of Sangyoung and Esther Lee of Chesterton, is active in
tennis, Spanish club and Interact club.
Stockwell, daughter of Dale and Melynda Tipton of Chesterton, is active in
Speech and Debate.
Kroeger, daughter of Eric and Lauren Kroeger of Chesterton, is a member of
the golf and diving teams, Student Council, National Honor Society, and the
CHS Business Professionals of America.
Randazzo, daughter of David and Kelly Randazzo of Chesterton, is a member of
Sandpipers and National Honor Society. She will be performing in the
upcoming CHS spring musical Grease.
VanNostran, daughter of Vern VanNostran and Dominee Kaiser of Chesterton.
The three students nominated for king are Chris Davis, Logan Holmes and Jon
Vincent,; and for prince are Joe Ponda, Trever Walker and Grant Zakhar.
Davis, son Scott and Benda Davis of Valparaiso, enjoys photography, playing
basketball with friends and has an after school job.
Holmes is the son of Jerry and Anne Mitchell of Valparaiso.
Vincent, son of James and Laurie Vincent of Valparaiso, is active in Speech
and Debate, Science Olympiad, academic Superbowl, Quiz bowl and is a member
of National Honor Society.
Ponda, son of Vincent and Michelle Ponda of Chesterton, is active in
wrestling.
Zakhar, son Bob and Antoinette Zakhar of Chesterton, is active in football,
track and field, intramural volleyball and is a member of Student Council
and National Honor Society.
Walker is the son of Mitch and Betsy Walker of Valparaiso.
The CHS junior/senior prom, “Twilight in Central Park,” will be hosted at
the Chesterton High School Commons on Saturday, May 5. Pictures are from
6-10 p.m. The Grand March will begin at approximately 8:30 in the Field
House. Prom goers will use Entrance 31. Parents and guests will be required
to use the Field House doors located at Entrances #32 and #33. The Royal
Court will be chosen following the Grand March.
