Chesterton High School and Middle School teacher Akiko Tsugawa was named
Japanese Teacher of the Year and Secondary World Language Teacher of the
Year at the Indiana Foreign Language Teachers Association (IFLTA) conference
in Indianapolis on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019.
The
Association of Indiana Teachers of Japanese chose Tsugawa to represent their
organization because of her dedication to the students of Duneland Schools
and her outstanding contributions to the field of Japanese language
education
