Registration is now open for Preschool Flag Football Sports Academy and Preschool Soccer Sports Academy. Both are open to boys and girls ages 3-5. All practices and games will be held at the Y fields located at Porter Regional Hospital’s Care Express at

“At the Y, kids involved in activities like youth sports have the opportunity to make friends, have fun, get active and discover who they are and what they can achieve,” said Sports Director Kyle Jeffers. “Our youth sports program is designed to help your child learn, grow and thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.”

The Preschool Soccer Academy meets on Saturdays from Sept. 19 through Saturday, October 31, at 9:00 a.m.

Kids will learn the basic skills of soccer such as passing, dribbling, scoring and blocking goals. They’ll learn to build self-esteem and confidence in the fundamentals of soccer.

Also available for preschool kids is the Preschool Flag Football Sports Academy, designed to help young flag football enthusiasts understand the basics of the game. They’ll learn how to catch, pass and run with a football. As they master flag football skills, they’ll also develop self-esteem and leadership skills while working as a team. Preschool flag football meets on Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. from September 19 through October 31. Registration is limited to 10 children per hour. Hourly sessions will be available.

Cost for each sport option is $40 for members & $80 for non-members. Multiple child or multiple sport discounts are available. Multiple sport discounts are offered if a child is registered for both preschool soccer and preschool flag football. Second Child discounts are available if more than one child in a family register for the same sport. Register at the Y Front Desk.
