World War II aircraft collection to land at Porter County Regional Airport

The Multi Agency Academic Cooperative (MAAC) in partnership with the Collings Foundation, will host a special reception in support of Northwest Indiana’s first responders on Saturday, Aug. 5 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Porter County Regional Airport, 3801 Murvihill Road, Hanger A-1, Valparaiso.

The “Commander Pass” includes food, beverage and special access to the WWII Wings of Freedom tour aircraft featuring the B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator, B-25 Mitchell bombers and P-51 Mustang and Spitfire fighters.

All funds raised will benefit the MAAC, a charity supporting training for firefighters, EMS and law enforcement.

The Multi Agency Academic Cooperative (MAAC) is developing a state-of-the-art campus that will serve as a leading provider of safety, emergency preparedness, and response training. Established on a four-acre parcel in Valparaiso, the MAAC strives to meet the training requirements and objectives of departments locally, regionally, and statewide.
