Water safety and survival workshop Monday

The public is invited to attend a workshop focusing on saving lives through water safety preparedness.

On Sept. 17, from 5:30 -6:30 p.m., the Great Lakes Surf Rescue Project (GLSRP) will lead a workshop, hosted by local Girl Scout Troop 30373, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2050 W. 1100 N, Chesterton.

GLSRP’s mission is to eradicate drownings by being the leader of Great Lakes water safety, raising public awareness, and providing public training and preparedness. The group has the vision of everyone in the Great Lakes region, nationwide and worldwide, being knowledgeable and proactive in water safety, with an emphasis on the Great Lakes region.
