Two more CHS students test positive; 59 total cases to date

Two more Chesterton High School students have tested positive for COVID-19, the Duneland School Corporation is reporting.

Both students tested positive on Wednesday afternoon. Five persons have been identified as close contacts of one of the students and will be quarantined for 14 days, DSC said. No one was identified as a close contact of the other student.

As of 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 59 staffers and students--either in-person or remote--have tested positive for COVID-19.

Of those 59 cases, 22 are currently active: 11 at CHS; nine remote; one at Bailly Elementary; and one at Yost Elementary.
