Back To Front Page

A student in the hybrid L-Z cohort at Chesterton High School tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday afternoon, another one did this morning, while a staffer at Liberty Intermediate School tested positive this morning as well, the Duneland School Corporation is reporting.

The administration, in consultation with the Porter County Health Department, has conducted contact tracing measures for these individuals, and all those who were in close contact (within six feet for 15 minutes or longer) have been notified directly, DSC said.

“Please be aware that privacy laws, including HIPAA and FERPA, prevent us from sharing further information regarding students and staff,” DSC added.

The CHS building was deep-cleaned and sanitized last night and will be again this evening, as will the LIS building.
