Thirty active virus cases in Duneland Schools

The Duneland School Corporation (DSC) was reporting  a total  of 30 active COVID-19 cases as of   8:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, down from 40 at  3:54 p.m. Thursday.

Active cases as of this morning:

-- Chesterton High School: 11.

-- Remote students: six.

-- Liberty Intermediate: one.

-- Yost Elementary: three.

-- Bailly Elementary: one.

-- Chesterton Middle School: three.

-- Liberty Elementary: four.

-- Westchester Intermediate: one.

Sunday’s report includes four new cases: two at Liberty Intermediate (no close contacts identified); one at CMS (14 close contacts); and one at CHS (three close contacts).

Since schools opened in August, DSC has reported a total of 100 COVID-19 infections, up from 96 on Thursday.
