The Indiana State
Department of Health (ISDH) was reporting this morning 1,103 new cases of
COVID-19 over the weekend (533 new cases on Friday), to bring total cases so
far to 37,623, up from 36,578 on Friday, an increase of 3 percent over the
last 72 hours.
ISDH reported 442
new cases on Saturday; 417 on Sunday; and 244 today.
ISDH was also
reporting 58 additional deaths over the weekend (32 additional deaths on
Friday), to bring the total so far to 2,316, up from 2,258, an increase of
2.6 percent over the last 72 hours.
ISDH reported 32
additional deaths on Saturday; 11 on Sunday; and 14 today.
Nursing home cases
and deaths to date: 4,611 cases and 1,011 deaths (4,357 cases and 945 deaths
on Friday). Number of nursing home facilities in the state with at least one
case of COVID-19: 250 (243). Number of nursing homes in the state with at
least one COVID-19 death: 155 (150).
309,503 tests have
been reported to date to ISDH, up from 291,638 on Friday, an increase of 6.1
over the last 72 hours, with a positive rate of 12.2 percent. Tests are
being conducted by ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and
Tests in Porter
County: 5,771 (5,428 on Friday). In Lake County: 27,362 (26,000). In LaPorte
County: 4,875 (4,611).
The total COVID-19
death count includes both confirmed and presumptive deaths to date.
Presumptive deaths are those for which x-ray, scans, and clinical symptoms
all point to COVID-19 but for which no positive test is on record. A total
of 181 presumptive deaths was reported today (180 on Friday).
