The Indiana State
Department of Health (ISDH) was reporting this morning 481 new COVID-19
cases over the last 24 hours, to bring total confirmed cases in the state to
28,705, up from 28,255 on Monday, an increase of 1.7 percent.
ISDH was also
reporting 57 additional deaths over the last 24 hours (14 additional deaths
on Monday), to bring the total in the state so far to 1,678, up from 1,621
on Monday, an increase of 3.5 percent.
The number of
probable COVID-19 death to date: 146. Probable deaths are those for which
x-ray, scans, and clinical symptoms all point to COVID-19 but for which no
positive test is on record. Total confirmed and probable COVID-19 deaths
Indiana: 1,824 (1,765 on Monday).
Nursing home cases
and deaths to date: 3,625 cases and 732 deaths (unchanged from Monday).
Number of nursing home facilities in the state with at least one case of
COVID-19: 212 (197 on Friday). Number with at least one death: 129.
189,330 tests have
been reported to date to ISDH, up from (183,912 on Monday), an increase of 3
percent over the last 24 hours, with a positive rate of 15.2 percent. Tests
are being conducted by ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,
and private laboratories.
Tests in Porter
County: 3,251 (3,146 on Monday). In Lake County: 17,421 (16,632). In LaPorte
County: 2,783 (2,755).
Marion County has
the most reported cases, 8,541 (8,406 on Monday); and the most deaths, 497
(480). Lake County has reported 2,946 cases (2,886) and 144 deaths (140),
the second highest in the state in both categories. LaPorte County has
reported 360 cases and 16 deaths (unchanged from Monday).
