The Indiana State
Department of Health (ISDH) was reporting this morning 581 new COVID-19
cases over the last 24 hours--100 more cases than reported on Tuesday--to
bring total confirmed cases in the state to 29,272, up from 28,705, an
increase of 2 percent.
ISDH was also
reporting 38 additional deaths over the last 24 hours (57 additional deaths
on Tuesday), to bring the total in the state so far to 1,716, up from 1,678
on Tuesday, an increase of 2.3 percent.
The number of
probable COVID-19 deaths to date: 148. Probable deaths are those for which
x-ray, scans, and clinical symptoms all point to COVID-19 but for which no
positive test is on record. Total confirmed and probable COVID-19 deaths
Indiana: 1,864 (1,824).
Nursing home cases
and deaths to date: 3,625 cases and 732 deaths (unchanged from Tuesday).
Number of nursing home facilities in the state with at least one case of
COVID-19: 212 (197 on Friday). Number with at least one death: 129.
195,738 tests have
been reported to date to ISDH, up from 189,330 on Tuesday, an increase of
3.4 percent over the last 24 hours, with a positive rate of 15 percent.
Tests are being conducted by ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention, and private laboratories.
Tests in Porter
County: 3,372 (3,251 on Tuesday). In Lake County: 18,251 (17,421). In
LaPorte County: 2,895 (2,783).
