Sponsor a Tree in Festival of Trees

Back To Front Page

The Festival of Trees 2016 is here. The trees are up in Thomas Centennial Park, the lights are on, and they are ready to be sponsored and decorated.

There are thirty Douglas Fir trees, each with lights and an information box. Each tree is available to be sponsored and decorated by an organization or family in the community. The sponsorship fee is $150.

Each tree will have a unique clue on the inside of the lid to the information box in front of the tree. There will be a list of thirty questions available, with the common theme being the 200th anniversary of the State of Indiana. Each person who correctly answers all the questions will receive a certificate for a Christmas ornament from the Westchester Township History Museum.

This holiday season event is sponsored by Chesterton-Duneland Kiwanis, Duneland Chamber of Commerce, Chesterton Parks Department, Do Good Works, and the Town of Chesterton.

For an application to be a sponsor, contact Suzanne Philbrick, 219-926-8135.
