Sixth annual Taste of Duneland 11 to 11 Saturday

Spend the unofficial last Saturday of summer, Labor Day weekend, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the sixth annual Taste of Duneland.

Many tasty treats will delight festival goers when they sample fare from Lucrezia Cafe, Leroy's Hot Stuff, Wagner's Ribs, El Cantarito, Hot Diggity Dawgs, Popolano's, El Salto Mexican Restaurant, Sage Restaurant, Taj Indian Curry House, Popolano’s and The Lemon Tree.

Chesterton Lions Club will serve up their popular Swedish potato sausage and fresh sweet corn, L.U.L.A.C. has the best homemade tamales, tostadas and tacos. Noak’s Popcorn will be providing freshly made caramel, cheese, and regular popcorn. Satisfy your sweet tooth with hand-prepared sweets and treats by Kernels & Kones.

Relax in the Lucrezia Cafe beer and wine garden, listening and dancing to live bands all afternoon and into the night. The Taste Bandstand will feature Dan Reisen, Johnny V & the Killer Bzzzz, and The UNiT, headlining the evening. The Bandstand is sponsored by Lucrezia Cafe, Indiana 105, Chesterton Health & Emergency Center, of Franciscan Alliance, Ellis Electric, and The Times.

Just for kids there will be bounce houses to jump away the day! During the early hours of Taste, browse the fabulous booths of the Chesterton European Market, located adjacent to Thomas Park.

The Chesterton Cruise Night, featuring classic cars, muscle cars, and more, will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Chamber parking lot right next to Taste.

Kick back, relax, dine and dance at the crossroads of summer's end and fall's beginning. Best of all - admission is free.
