Seven more positive C19 tests in the schools; 74 total cases to date

Seven more Duneland students and staffers have tested positive for COVID-19, the Duneland School Corporation (DSC) is reporting.

-- On Friday morning a Yost Elementary student tested positive (16 close contacts identified); and a Chesterton High School student (nine close contacts).

-- On Friday night a CHS staffer tested positive (one close contact); and a CHS student (no close contacts).

-- On Sunday afternoon a CHS student tested positive (12 close contacts); and a CHS staffer (no close contacts).

-- This morning a Liberty Elementary staffer tested positive (one close contact).

As of 8:40 a.m. today, 74 staffers and students--either in-person or remote--have tested positive for COVID-19.

Of those 74 cases, 20 are currently active: 12 at CHS; three remote; two at Yost Elementary; one at Bailly Elementary; one at Liberty Elementary; and one at Liberty Intermediate.
