Seen and Heard: Lisa Anderson Hayes Coach of the Year

Lisa Anderson Hayes was recently named coach of the year by both the Times and Post-Tribune. She coached the Portage High School girl's varsity softball team to a state 4A Championship.

Hayes graduated from Chesterton High School, was the CHS catcher for two years, then later assistant coach for two years under Louann Hopson and also coached at Marquette High School in Michigan City before going to coach at Portage.

Hayes She was a Southern Indiana U. softball player all 4 years. She has also been inducted into the Indiana high school Softball Hall of Fame.

Lisa and her husband Jason have two sons, Koyie and Colt. Hayes is the daughter of Therese and Gary Anderson, of Pine Township. Information provided by proud grandmother Doris Anderson.
