The Chesterton
Porter Rotary Club will host its annual BBQ Chicken Sale on Saturday,
September 14, in the 1st Source Bank parking lot, at 1500 S. Calumet Road.
"Proceeds from our
annual BBQ Chicken Fundraiser directly support local high school student
scholarships and community projects," said event chair Tricia Lahey.
Nelson's Port-a-Pit
Barbeque Chicken will be available from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Chicken halves
or 10 oz. pork chops cost $7.00 each. "They're fall of the bone delicious!
We'll also be selling Nelson's potatoes for an extra $3," Lahey said.
Individuals who
pre-purchase their tickets from a Rotarian are reminded to get there by 1
p.m. to guarantee their order will be available. After 1 p.m. everything
will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
1st Source Bank
will be holding their annual Shred Day as well from 9 a.m. to noon.
"Shredding sensitive documents is an easy way to reduce your risk of
becoming a victim of identity theft," said Lahey who is also the 1st Source
Banking Center Manager. "1st Source is glad to help people shred and
properly dispose of old statements and paperwork they no longer need."
