Preregistration needed prior to next Food Pantry distribution

Beginning with the next distribution, set for Tuesday, August 11, families receiving food will need to be previously registered.

All families receiving food from the Westchester Neighbors Food Pantry must be registered.

The regular distribution will be held on the second Tuesday of the month, August 11, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Due to the COVID-19 virus, for the safety of clients and volunteers, and in line with the Indiana state mandate, everyone must wear a mask.

New clients will be able to register on Thursday, August 6, from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon, at the Food Pantry, at 801 Broadway, Chesterton. As a reminder, clients must live within the Duneland School district. Please bring a current bill showing your name and address to prove residency.

Donations needed

Due to the pandemic, some of the food drives the Food Pantry has traditionally relied on have not happened. Any donations of non-perishable items would be greatly appreciated at this time.

Donations may be made at the Chesterton Police Station, 790 Broadway, Chesterton, or at Porter Bank. The Westchester Neighbors Food Pantry Board and all their clients send heartfelt thanks to the Duneland community for all the generous contributions in support of the Food Pantry.
