The fourth annual
Prairie Magic Music Festival at Sunset Hill Park is set for Saturday, Aug.
17. Rock legends Los Lobos are heading out from Los Angeles all the way to
Northwest Indiana to headline the festival.
Musical Festival is a celebration of rock, Americana, and blues music, with
food vendors, a beer garden, free water on-site all day, along with
children’s activities. Doors open at 12 p.m. and the music begins at 1 p.m.
Also performing in the festival lineup are Robbie Fulks, Bottle Rockets and
festival musical set times are: Big Road from 1 to 1:45 p.m., Robbie Fulks
from 2 to 3:15 p.m., Bottle Rockets from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m., and Los Lobos
from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Los Lobos’ music is a rock-and-roll, Tex-Mex blend. The three-time
Grammy-award-winning group has been making music for more than 40 years, has
received a Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and was inducted into
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.
Food vendors at the
festival will include Leroy’s Hot Stuff, Scooter’s BBQ, Ben’s Soft Pretzels,
and Valpo Velvet. No outside food and beverages are allowed.
Park visitors are
encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and sun shades to enjoy this family
friendly event at the outdoor amphitheater at Sunset Hill Farm Park. Wagon
rides will be available to take attendees from the parking area to the

opening up the Sunset Hill Farm Campground for camping the night of the
festival. Families can rent space in the open field portion of the
