Porter County Health Department cuts total of county cases from 9 to 8

Earlier today, the Porter County Health Department previously reported a total number of nine positive COVID-19 Tests for Porter County Residents. Through the contact investigation conducted by the Health Department for every positive test result, they have learned that out of the nine, one was a truck driver driving through Porter County but lives in New York. The truck driver previously tested positive in New York and chose to travel.

While driving through Porter County, the driver experienced respiratory issues while in Porter County and drove to Porter Regional where the driver was tested and resulted in positive for COVID-19. The driver has gone through the 14 day isolation, symptoms were treated at the hospital, has now tested clear of the virus and has been discharged and sent back home to New York.

This brings our positive cases in Porter County down to eight Porter County residents.
