Parents Night Out January 13 at Duneland YMCA

Back To Front Page

Enjoy an evening out on the town and know that your kids are safe and having fun at the Duneland YMCA--it's the perfect escape!

Your children will be so busy having fun engaged in a variety of activities including gym time, games, story time and craft projects they won't even know you're gone. Pizza dinner donated by the Chesterton Little Caesar's will be served, and the night will conclude with an age appropriate movie. Parent's Night Out is from 6 to 9:30 p.m., one Friday each month, for children ages 8 weeks to 11 years old.

The Y makes kids feel welcome and helps them quickly realize the Y is a place where they belong and can be themselves, try new things, make new friends, and be a part of something fun. The Y provides a safe, nurturing inclusive environment so parents can relax and have fun while they take a break. Studies have shown that kids flourish socially and emotionally in an inspiring, healthy and structured atmosphere. Everything staff does at the Y reinforces the four core values: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

"It's a very popular program," said Carla Patino-Davis. "Space is limited, so it's important to pre-register at least 24 hours in advance to guarantee a spot for your child. You'll appreciate that our trained Fun Zone Staff understand how to keep kidsí attention through organized, planned activities. From arts and crafts to gym time, there's never a dull moment. Not to mention, it's affordable and open to everyone, and we offer discounts for multiple child families."

Parents can register their children for Parent's Night Out by phone or stopping in at the Y's Front Desk.

The Y is open 7 days a week at 215 Roosevelt St., Chesterton.
