Parents As Teachers is currently selling tickets for their first ever adults-only fundraiser. The Pumpkin Party will be held on Friday, October 17 at the Waterbird Banquet Center at 7 p.m.

This fall celebration will feature great food, drinks, music, a silent auction and a costume contest.

Attendees are encouraged to dress is creative costumes to enhance the fun.

The party is being held to raise money for the 2008-09 program year for PAT which is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation and is 100 percent self-funded.

PAT provides family education for parents and young children prior to entering kindergarten through personal visits, parent/child workshops, family forums, education publications and developmental screenings.

PAT has been operating in the Duneland community for more than 20 years and reaches more than 250 young children each year.

The silent auction at the event will feature unique family gift baskets, original art work, jewelry, spa services, a bounce house and more.
