NIHPA Fall Harvest Festival and Antique Equipment Show coming September 23 and 24

The annual Fall Harvest Festival and Antique Equipment Show is set for September 23 and 24, at Sunset Hill Farm County Park.

Anyone who likes old cars, tractors, trucks or equipment will enjoy this family-friendly event.

Hosted by the Northern Indiana Historical Power Association, both Saturday and Sunday will see a parade with the historic machinery, wagon rides, a kiddie tractor pull and antique trucks by American Truck Historic Society.

NIHPA will be serving a pork chop dinner on Saturday.

The Festival, which is in its 41st year, will have daily wagon rides, antique power crop demonstrations and exhibits like bailing, threshing and corn shelling.

The event is open to the public with a $5 admission.

Children ages 12 and under are free. Hours are 9 to 5 p.m.

The Minneapolis Moline/Twin City Tractors will be featured, as will Economy and Hercules Engines.

Events and exhibits also include steam traction engines, a saw mill and shingle mill, buzz saw, rock crushing, Dynometer, Parade of Power, sorghum cooking, farm animals old farming tools, flea market and crafts, and food vendors.

Special exhibits will include antique trucks by American Truck Historic Society, both days, and antique cars by Winimac Car Club on Sunday.

Sunset Hill Farm Park is located at 775 Meridian Road in Liberty Township.
