The Chesterton-Porter Rotary Club hosted visitors from Brazil this week,
providing a chance for the group study exchange visitors to gain insight
into the professional lives of Rotary members here.
The visitors were Caroline Dario, an architect; Fabio Benito Pozza, a
marketing manager; Nalini Indira da Costa, English Institute Director and a
Rotary member in Brazil; Marcelo Ferraz Arruda, Video Rentals business owner
and Fernanda Valone Gorini, a dentist.
The group shared lunch with Rotary members at the Westchester Township
Library Service Center and visited a number of Chesterton businesses, toured
the downtowns of Chesterton and Porter, visited the Indiana Dunes State Park
beach and walked the grounds of the Chellberg Farm of the Indiana Dunes
National Lakeshore.
Business tour hosts were Steve Walker, dentist; Warren Canright, the
Chesterton Tribune; Duneland Schools Superintendent Dr. Dirk Baer,
Chesterton High School; Bob Gerometta, Gerometta and Kinel Architects and
Sheldon Cohn, Griffin Marketing.
A dinner after the tours was hosted by Jim and Mary K. Jeselnick, with Pete
and Kathy Brannen cooking.
Morning drivers for the group were Suzy Perkins and Barbara Mort. Afternoon
drivers were Joyce Fleming and Ralph Caron.
The tour was organized through the Rotary International Group Study Exchange
to promote international understanding.
