Health care navigators with HealthLinc are ready to help uninsured Hoosiers
sign up for health insurance coverage under the federal Affordable Care Act.
“HealthLinc has 15 certified application counselors, also known as
navigators, that have completed federal and state training and have passed
the tests,” said Beth Wrobel, CEO of HealthLinc.
The HealthLinc certified application counselors will be housed in
HealthLinc’s community health centers in East Chicago, Valparaiso, Knox,
Michigan City and Mishawaka, Ind.
Each HealthLinc counselor will be responsible for their surrounding areas as
well.
“Our certified application counselors will help people find out if they
qualify for subsidies that offset the cost of insurance coverage, as well as
help people choose coverage and provide unbiased information,” said Lauren
Lamb, outreach and enrollment manager for HealthLinc.
People can schedule individual appointments with a HealthLinc certified
application counselor by calling 1-888-580-1060. They can also attend one of
HealthLinc’s Coffee Talks about the Affordable Care Act.
