Get flyer first from Porter PD before trying to park for fireworks Monday

Back To Front Page

Anyone visiting Porter Beach for the “Fireworks on the Lake” on Monday, July 2, is encouraged to stop by the Porter town hall or the Porter Police Department to obtain a flyer to help speed the line of vehicles into the beach area.

This flyer will allow vehicles to pass through without having to speak with officers, keeping the line moving faster.

These flyers are for everyone whether you are a homeowner, visiting a homeowner, or plan on parking in the town lot, the National Lakeshore lots, or the public paid lot.

This flyer will let officers know that you are aware there is no on-street parking anywhere in the beach area, and explains how to get your vehicle out of impound if you do park illegally.

There will also be a large informational sign at Waverly Road and State Park Road letting visitors know which public lots are still available for parking, if any.

This year there is no bus transportation to Porter Beach for the fireworks, so leave early and carpool. As always, no fireworks are allowed at Porter Beach.
