Folks asked to complete survey on use of Downtown

The Chesterton Branding Leadership Team (CBLT) is asking residents to complete a survey on their use of Downtown Chesterton.

Among the data sought by CBLT: how frequently folks visit the Downtown and how long they stay per visit; and what new businesses, activities, and events would encourage them to spend additional time in the Downtown and at Thomas Centennial Park.

“There are only 11 questions on the survey and the survey should take five minutes or less to complete,” said Lorelei Weimer, executive director of the Porter County Convention, Recreation, and Visitor Commission. “The information we gather from the residents is valuable because it helps us develop a plan to pursue businesses and activities that we know the residents want and will support.”

The survey can be accessed at

Or else link to the questionnaire via the Visit Chesterton Facebook page.

Sunday, Aug. 26, is the deadline to complete the survey.

The mission of the CBLT is to create and support a vibrant, thriving Chesterton community, celebrating the art of life while enhancing the historical charm of Chesterton.
