Fireworks show to be Friday at Indiana Dunes State Park beach

The Chesterton/Duneland Chamber of Commerce will host the 3rd Annual Fireworks on the Lakefront Friday, July 1.

This event will take place at the Indiana Dunes State Park and will feature live entertainment and food vendors.

Food vendors will start at 6 p.m. with fireworks at 9:15 p.m. Bus transportation will be provided from Chesterton Middle School to Porter Beach from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Entrance to the Indiana Dunes State Park is $5 per car or $10 per car with an out-of-state license plate. Those attending should expect a high amount of traffic at the State Park and Porter Beach; last year’s event attracted more than 10,000 people.
