The Duneland Chamber of Commerce will once again host the 11th annual Fireworks on the Lakefront at Indiana Dunes State Park on Monday, July 1.

“This event has become a tradition for Duneland families,” Chamber President Maura Durham said in a statement released today. “I am excited to announce to the community that they will once again be able to enjoy this patriotic evening with their families at our lakefront. Holidays are important, and this event brings people together.”

Join the Chamber for food vendors and a spectacular fireworks show, to begin at dusk, approximately 9:15 p.m.

Entrance to Indiana Dunes State Park is $7 per car, or $12 per car with an out-of-state license plate. Please be aware that there will be a high amount of traffic at Dunes State Park and at Porter Beach. Bus transportation will once again not be available to Porter Beach. Guests are also asked not to bring any fireworks to this professional fireworks show, in order to avoid fire hazards. Meanwhile, alcohol is not permitted within Indiana Dunes State Park.

Fireworks on the Lakefront event would not be possible without the monetary and in-kind donations of new and past supporters. A special thanks to the Premier Sponsor, Urschel Laboratories Inc.; Community Partners, including the towns of Chesterton and Burns Harbor, for both monetary donations and in-kind emergency service protection; as well as the Town of Porter, the National Park Service, and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources for their contribution of in-kind emergency services.
