Family light show gathers funds for The Caring Place

Back To Front Page

The Bozak family holiday light show has been collecting money this year to support the Caring Place, a shelter for women and children in need of shelter from domestic violence.

On Tuesday, free family photos with Santa Claus, free candy canes, and hot chocolate were offered for families driving by. In just two hours between 5 and 7, over 200 cars drove by and almost $500 was raised.

If you still would like to donate and see the Bozak family's light show, the lights are blinking to music every night until 10:30 p.m. at the Bozak home, located at 259 Lake Park Rd., Burns Harbor, IN.

A secure donation box is on site and everything donated goes directly to The Caring Place. The spectacle features about 50,000 lights and is quickly becoming a family tradition in Burns Harbor, as each year County Councilman Andy Bozak and his son Ayden light up the town.
