New acts have been added to the line-up for Duneland Stars Shine On, a
fundraiser for the Duneland Education Foundation on June 18.
DEF Executive Director Christine Kostbade said Annie Brady and Michael Bryan
will serve as MCs, while Courtney Jurick, a candidate for Miss Indiana, will
perform. All three are Chesterton High School graduates.
Also added to the line-up are two group performances from the Eclipse Studio
in Chesterton. One of the groups will feature eight students, while the
other will be a duet performed by Sofia Sommer and Kennedy Brown, who will
be performing a dance that has won awards in competitions in Chicago and
Michigan. Sommer and Brown have both been accepted into the Joffrey Ballet
for the summer and in the American Ballet Theater.
The June 18 show is billed as a “Night of Performances and Reunion,”
reflecting the fact that the performers will be CHS alumni. The show is
directed by Linda Pauli and will be at 7 p.m. in the CHS Auditorium.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and $5 for students.
Tickets are available by calling the foundation at 983-3715 or at the
following sites: CHS, Anton Insurance, 1st State Bank of Porter, 1st Source
Bank north and south locations, and Ace Hardware.
