Back To Front Page

Duneland School Child Nutrition Services will be offering grab and go meals Monday, March 16 through April 10, the anticipated duration of the Porter County Schools closure intended to help curb the spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19.

Parents can pick-up meals between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. Monday through Friday at Chesterton Middle School. Meals will consist of a sack lunch with a sandwich, a veggie, fruit, and juice for lunch and a small breakfast item for the next morning.

The pick-up procedure for grab and go meals is as follows, according to a release: “Vehicles will enter the CMS Parking area from Porter Avenue and follow the drive to door #17. Vehicles will line up and Patrons will remain in their cars. Sack meals will be brought to the vehicle by a Child Nutrition Staff member. Vehicles will then drive straight and exit onto 8th Street.”
