to join members of Porter United Methodist Church at the Hawthorne Park
gazebo, located at 500 Ackerman Drive, Porter, for the Duneland Community
Easter Sunrise Celebration & Worship Service, at 7 a.m., on Easter morning,
This gathering will
be a celebration which includes the singing of traditional Easter hymns as
well as contemporary songs and a homily given by Pastor Liz Lahaie from
Porter United Methodist Church.
Holy Communion will
be offered to those who wish to partake. In the past, the weather has been
chilly, so please dress accordingly.
In addition, there
is no seating available in or around the gazebo, so folding chairs are
encouraged for those who do not wish to stand during the service. As a
courtesy to the Porter Park Department, do not park on the lawn.
following the service, everyone is invited to return to the fellowship hall
of Porter UMC, 100 E. Beam Street & Wagner Road, for a community breakfast.
The PUMC congregation hopes everyone will be able to share in this
celebration of the resurrection of Christ.
