Daylight Savings begins 2 a.m., Sunday

Back To Front Page

Itís time to spring forward and lose 60 minutes.

By 2 a.m. Sunday, March 8, all clocks should be set one hour ahead.

As the Associated Press noted today, the best time to set clocks ahead is before bedtime Saturday, so as to avoid being late for Sunday activities.

With the annual change, sunlight will extend longer into the evening, but the shine will take longer to emerge in the morning.

The Chesterton Fire Department is reminding folks that the Daylight Savings adjustment is also a good time to replace batteries in all smoke and CO detectors.
