The Chesterton Woman’s Club, in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, has decided to cancel its April and May meetings. The club will also cancel its 69th annual Art Show. The Art Show was to be held at the Chesterton Art Center during the month of June.

“The reasons are obvious but first and foremost: the safety of our membership. The uncertainty of how the virus is spread and how long this pandemic will last are the club’s reasons to cancel the Art Show. “Better safe than sorry” was our motto and a deciding factor in our decision making.

‘The Woman’s Club would like to extend a personal Thank You to our local patrons who have given so generously to support this endeavor each year.

“We would also like to thank the Art Center for supporting us 100% in making our community artist friendly.

“Last but not least, we would like to thank our members who tirelessly work to support our community efforts throughout the year.

“One mission we’ve sponsored each month is in dire need of our community’s support and that’s our local Westchester Neighbors Food Pantry. After reading this article, please send a monetary donation to the Westchester Neighbors Food Pantry, at PO BOX 902, Chesterton, IN, 46304.

“This would ensure them the ability to purchase in bulk the items in greatest demand.”
