The Chesterton Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, June 8, at the town hall.

Mask will be required of all persons attending the meeting, and social-distancing measures must be practiced.

On the agenda: Street Commissioner John Schnadenberg will provide an update on this season's paving projects; the council will consider the proposed donation of the Fire Department's mobile command center to the Burns Harbor FD; and members will hear the status of the quiet zone project.

In addition, members will hold a public hearing on Mike and Melissa Topor's petition for a reduction of a utility and drainage easement on their property at 3525 Drivers Lane. The Topors are hoping to install a swimming pool in their yard but it would encroach on the 7.5-foot easement running along their property line. The Topors are seeking to reduce the easement by 3.5 feet.
