Chesterton Tribune is 122 years young today

The Chesterton Tribune is celebrating its 122nd birthday today.

The newspaper was founded as a weekly in 1884 by 21-year-old Valparaiso native Arthur Bowser.

The paper expanded to five days a week in 1961 under the leadership of Warren R. Canright, Warren H. Canright and John Canright.

As the Tribune begins its 123rd year the publisher is Warren H. Canright and the Managing Editor is David Canright.

Warren is a newcomer to Chesterton, having moved here in 1928. David is a life long resident.
