The Porter County
Health Department was reporting this morning 11 new COVID-19 cases (28 new
cases on Wednesday), to bring the total so far to 808, up from 797 on
Wednesday.
Of the 11 new
cases, all of them--100 percent--are in the younger age groups: two in the
0-19 group (48 total); four in the 20-29 group (153 total); and five in the
40-49 group (130 total). Total number in the 30-39 group: 129.
Over the last seven
days, the Health Department has reported a total of 78 new cases. Of those,
59--or 76 percent-- have been in the younger age groups.
Two patients are
currently hospitalized, unchanged from Wednesday; while 663 have recovered,
also unchanged from Wednesday.
No additional
deaths were reported this morning. To date, 39 Porter County residents have
succumbed to COVID-19.
To date, 101 cases
of COVID-19 have been reported in Porter County’s long-term care facilities,
27 have died, no one is currently hospitalized, and 73 have recovered, all
unchanged.
