Benefit Sunday June 22 to help pay medical bills

Back To Front Page

In May of 2014, Matt Keil was taken to the ER with a sore throat, needed emergency surgery and ended up on a Ventilator (life support).

Keil was in the ICU for five days in a medical coma.

Prior to the emergency, he had started a brand new job just a week before he became ill, and was still in the 60 day probationary period for his medical insurance and was not yet eligible for coverage.

His wife Nicole drove an hour to and from the hospital every day to be at his side. This not only left Matt out of work, but Nicole as well.

Please join in for a Benefit Run on Sunday, June 22, at Uncle Joe’s Bar, 361 N. Calumet Rd., Chesterton.

Registration will begin at 10 a.m. First bike out at 11 a.m. Last bike out at noon.

There will be all day raffles, 50/50, silent auction, food and music. Please come out and enjoy the beautiful day with Matt. Non-riders are welcome!

Food and music to begin at 5 p.m. Single Riders are $10 and couples are $15, Non riders $5 each at the door.
