Benefit at Flannery's Sunday to help with medical bills for Monica Brown

Flannery’s Tavern will host a benefit for their bartender, Monica Brown, on Sunday, October 7. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and festivities are from 1 to 6 p.m., at 125 S. Calumet Rd., Chesterton.

$10 advance tickets are available at Flannery’s Tavern and tickets are $15 at the door. Ticket includes entry and meal. There will be raffles, 50/50 drawings, bake sale, T-shirts, Hula Hoop Contest and more. Flannery’s will open to public at 6 p.m.

Monica is a single mother and is facing an Aortic Valve Replacement surgery, her second lifesaving operation in less than three years. She has spent her lifetime in the service industry and is currently unable to work. Proceeds from this benefit will help Monica and her family with mounting household and medical debt.

Flannery’s is accepting monetary donations for the family, plus gift certificates and raffle baskets for the benefit on site prior to the benefit or can be contacted at (219)926-2614.
