Rebuilding Together Duneland (RTD) Board of Directors welcome new board and
committee members. Brian Erxleben is the new Secretary and Sam Allie of
Above Board Construction is the Logistics Coordinator. Jeanne Hayes and Tom
Lee worked with Brian on the House Selection Committee. Trent Albert of
Albert Photographic is the new Marketing Chairperson. RTD needs volunteers
to help out on Saturday, April 27 for National Rebuilding Day. In order for
RTD to properly plan for the rehabilitation of 13 homes and two community
projects by providing lunch and a t-shirt for each volunteer, the deadline
to submit all applications is April 1.
This is a great opportunity to help make a difference in the Duneland
Community. Skilled or unskilled, all are welcome over the age of 14. Local
companies can bring employees together for a volunteer team building
opportunity. These volunteers, with the help of local sponsors and product
and material donors, work to ensure that financially struggling homeowners,
particularly the elderly or disabled, as well as families with children,
live independently in a warm and safe home.
RTD strongly encourages volunteers to submit their applications through the
volunteer tab on their website
www.rtduneland.org
It
is also possible to download an application from the website, complete and
mail it to P.O. Box 644, Chesterton, IN 46304. Alternatively, applications
are available for pick up at Hopkins Ace Hardware, the Westchester Public
Library Reference Desk and the Duneland Chamber of Commerce. There is no
same day registration.
Anyone unable to volunteer, but interested in supporting Rebuilding Together
Duneland financially may donate online at
www.rtduneland.org
through PayPal, under the donations tab or through the mail at P.O. Box 644,
Chesterton, IN 46304. For more information, please call 219-926-3233.
