Active Duneland Schools cases total 30

The Duneland School Corporation (DSC) was reporting a total of 30 active COVID-19 cases as of 3:04 p.m. Tuesday.

By the Chesterton Tribune’s count, DSC has reported six new cases over the last 48 hours: one at Chesterton High School (20 close contacts); one at Chesterton Middle School (two close contacts); two at Liberty Intermediate (no close contacts); one at Bailly Elementary (no close contacts); and one at Yost Elementary (no close contacts).

Active cases as of this morning: 16 at CHS: four among remote students; three at Liberty Intermediate; two at Yost Elementary; two at CMS; one at Liberty Elementary; one at Bailly Elementary; and one in Transportation.

Since schools opened in August, DSC has reported a total of 84 COVID-19 infections.
