88 COVID19 cases in Porter County

As of 10 a.m. today, 88 positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported to the Porter County Health Department, up from 80 on Wednesday, an increase of 10 percent.

Twelve patients are currently hospitalized, and 28 patients have recovered (12 and 28 on Wednesday).

No deaths have yet been reported in Porter County.

Duneland cases by township:

-- Westchester: 10 cases, one hospitalized, three recovered (nine, one, and three on Wednesday).

-- Liberty: five cases, two hospitalized, three recovered (four, one, and three on Wednesday).

-- Jackson: no cases.

-- Pine: no cases.

Portage Township--with 43 cases, five hospitalizations, and 10 recoveries (38, six, and 10 on Wednesday)--remains the hardest hit in Porter County so far; followed by Center, with 16 cases, two hospitalizations, and five recoveries (15, two, and five on Wednesday); then Westchester; then Union, with seven cases, no hospitalizations, and five recoveries (seven, zero, and five on Wednesday).

The demographic with the most cases remains the 50-59 age group; follwed by 40-49; 30-39, and 60-69.

Of the 88 cases, 49 are female and 39 male.
