The Family 4th Fest Parade is quickly approaching and there is still time
for families, friends and neighbors to participate in this fun event.
Parade participants will line up at Yost School in Porter at 8 a.m. on July
4. With a 9 a.m. step off, the parade will wind through downtown Porter.
Day-long activities are planned at Hawthorne Park.
Families and individuals are encouraged to come out and help make this event
a slice of Americana. Show off your talents, be creative and come with
decorated bicycles, wagons, strollers, vehicles or just walk and celebrate
the red, white and blue.
The parade is open to all and there is no charge to participate.
Application deadline has been extended to July 2. Applications may be
