The Porter County
Health Department was reporting this morning 25 new COVID-19 cases over the
last 72 hours (17 new cases on Friday), to bring the total so far to 705, up
from 680 on Friday.
Department reported five new cases on Saturday; nine on Sunday; and 11
Over the last five
days--Thursday, June 25, through today--the Health Department has reported
55 new cases, an increase of 8.5 percent.
Of the 11 new cases
reported today, seven are in the younger demographics: two in 0-19; two in
20-29; two in 30-39; and one in 40-49. Fifty-five percent of all COVID-19
cases reported in Porter County to date are in demographics younger than
Two patients are
currently hospitalized, while 559 have recovered, both unchanged from
deaths were reported today. Thirty-seven Porter County residents so far have
died of COVID-19.
To date, 101 cases
of COVID-19 have been reported in Porter County's long-term care facilities,
up from 100 on Friday; while 26 patients have died, one is currently
hospitalized, and 64 have recovered, all unchanged from Friday.

The Indiana State
Department of Health (ISDH) was reporting this morning 1,170 new cases of
COVID-19 over the last 72 hours (510 new cases on Friday), to bring total
cases so far to 45,228, up from 44,140 on Friday.
ISDH reported 496
new cases on Saturday; 362 on Sunday; and 312 today.
ISDH was also
reporting today an additional 29 deaths over the last 72 hours (an
additional nine deaths on Friday), to bring total deaths so far to 2,627, up
from 2,598 on Friday.
ISDH reported 21
additional deaths on Saturday; three on Sunday; and five today.
Nursing home cases
and deaths to date: 5,342 cases and 1,166 deaths (5,147 cases and 1,140
deaths on Friday)
Marion County has
the most reported cases, 11,279 (11,104 on Friday); and the most deaths, 677
(676). Lake County has reported 4,781 cases (4,650) and 239 deaths (238),
the second highest in the state in both categories. LaPorte County has
reported 522 cases and 25 deaths (510 and 25).
The total COVID-19
death count includes both confirmed and presumptive deaths to date.
Presumptive deaths are those for which x-ray, scans, and clinical symptoms
all point to COVID-19 but for which no positive test is on record. A total
of 192 presumptive deaths was reported today, unchanged from Thursday.
