The Porter County
Health Department was reporting this morning 14 new COVID-19 cases
over the last 24 hours (12 new cases on Wednesday), to bring the total so
far to 2,113 up from 2,099 on Wednesday.
Of those 14 new
cases, 10--or 71 percent--were diagnosed in the younger demographics: two in
the 0-19 (317 total); four in the 20-29 (418 total); two in the 30-39 (320
total); and two in the 40-49 (318 total).
To date, 317 cases
have been diagnosed in children or teens, or 15.0 percent of all cases (15
percent on Wednesday). On July 7, only 39 children or teens had been
diagnosed of the 765 total cases at the time: or 5.1 percent.

active cases in Porter County: 218, up from 204 on Wednesday.
A total of 119
COVID-19 cases has been reported in Porter County long-term care facilities,
unchanged from Tuesday. Of those 119, 31 have died, 85 recovered, and none
is currently hospitalized, all unchanged from Wednesday. As of today, there
were three active COVID-19 cases in the county’s long-term care facilities,
also unchanged from Wednesday.

The Indiana State
Department of Health (ISDH) was reporting this morning 920 new COVID-19
cases over the last 24 hours (728 new cases on Wednesday), to bring the
total so far to 114,236, up from 113,337 on Wednesday.
ISDH was also
reporting 18 additional COVID-19 deaths over the last 24 hours (10
additional deaths on Wednesday), to bring the total to date to 3,559, up
from 3,541 on Wednesday.
Marion County was
reporting today 20,067 cases (20,936 on Wednesday) and 764 deaths (761), the
most in the state in both categories. Lake County was reporting 10,397 cases
(10,334) and 321 deaths (319), the second most in the state in both
categories. LaPorte County was reporting 1,405 cases (1,382) and 40 deaths

Presumptive deaths are those for which x-ray, scans, and clinical
