2019 mini reunion to include 25 years of CHS classes

Back To Front Page

The CHS Mini is an all class gathering without the fanfare and expense of a traditional class reunion. Traditionally CHS reunions have been for members of one graduating class and their guests. The Mini hosts people from many class years.

This year’s Mini has reservations from graduates that span 25 different class years (1942-1967). Young and old, CHS grads are encouraged to attend no matter their class year.

Unlike traditional class reunions, there is no charge to attend. All the awards and supplies are paid for through donations. Attendees only pay for the food and drinks they order from the menu.

The Mini was begun seven years ago as a casual event where friends of many classes could gather yearly in the Chesterton area. It is held just before or after July 4.

This year the day of the Mini is Monday July 8, 2019. Events for the day begin with a golf outing at 9:00 a.m. at the Brassie Club. Some individual classes have scheduled lunches at various venues. Then the Mini begins at 5:30 p.m. at Gelsosomo’s Pub, at 371 Indian Boundary Road, Chesterton.

Those interested may visit chsmini.org to register or look at photos of past Mini events. The site features videos and historical photos. A donation page through Go Fund Me is linked on the chsmini.org site for those people that wish to help with the expenses of the Mini.
